I miss travelling.
I miss long plane rides
I miss long check in lines not
I miss unloading my pockets and taking my shoes off at the screening gate.
I miss killing time before boarding a plane
I miss walking up the narrow aisle to my seat and discovering you’ll spend the next 2 hours seated next to no one.
I miss the little plastic containers of juice they serve you on a flight and the napkin they place under it.
I miss waiting at the baggage gate for your bag to eventually show itself.
i miss jumping in the airport shuttle and being carried off into a foreign city with no sense of where you going.
I miss the first impressions you gain of a city on that same trip from airport.
I miss checking into a new home for the night.
I miss channel surfing the tv on that first night
I miss living out of a suitcase and having to repack it so often.
I miss the uniqueness of my new surrounds.
I miss the fact that i’m free to do as i please each day.
I miss a lot of things about travelling but most of all, i miss the feel of what it feels like when your travel.

“Rome” by Phoenix
Travel-related song for today. I’ll have to stop by Criminal Records after work to pick up this album. So good!
Who’s the boy I like the most?
Is it is teasing you he’s underage?
Could he be waving from a tropical sunset?
Static silhouette somehow, single in his bed someday.
Quiet, til he fall… fall… falls…Rome, Rome, Rome, Rome…
Focus looking forward the Colosseum
Oh no, what did I say? What can I say?
Rome, Rome, many tears have fallen here.
I’ll be driving, you look the other way.

Hiking in the fog by Lee Wei-I

I believe this is somewhere in Tuscany, Italy. I wouldn’t know… But thing is, we’re gonna have our own villa some place near here. It’s gotta have its own olive trees and a huge porch with antique armchairs and coffee-tables and a pretty handcrafted hammock brought from Salvador (Bahia, Brazil). We’ll be having freshly made espresso and italian bread with cheese in the morning, a good glass of Chianti at lunch and a nice cup of black tea in the afternoon with come rich homemade italian cookies (I have no clue what they look like, but whenever I think “Italian”, something tasty, cozy and simple comes to mind). So yeah, this is going to my visual-board. I’ll let you people know whenever I am there.Via iamblessed
SomethingAwful has some pretty on point guidelines about how to behave when you’re travelling if you don’t want locals to hate you any more than they already hate all the tourists (hint: A LOT)
